Join us for an evening of Big Band Music, featuring the Scottsdale Community College Big Band under the direction of Eric Rasmussen and the Chandler Gilbert Community College Little Big Band under the direction of Adam Roberts.
The ASU Latin Jazz Band under the direction of Robby Carrillo performs both Afro-Cuban Latin-jazz and Brazilian jazz repertoire, with reverence to authentic elements of these rich musical traditions. Combos from the ASU Jazz Studies program will also perform.
The Concert Jazz Band in the ASU Herberger Institute School of Music, Dance and Theatre is the premier large ensemble of the Jazz Studies program in which students study and perform music from the classic big band repertoire, commissioned works, student compositions and recent works by contemporary jazz composers.
