The opening of the three-day, three-event, "Bash for the Nash" weekend will begin at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Phoenix and will feature a sunset happy-hour featuring artwork by Ann Krasner. Happy hour music will be provided by the student ensembles of The Nash, including the Nash Vocal Ensemble and the all-girls Nash Jazz DivAZ.
The evening will then commence with an amazing three-course dinner and will be followed by music from Grammy-nominated and venue namesake, Lewis Nash and his hand-picked band of jazz greats. This all-star lineup includes Nash Jazz Beacon Award Winner, Charles McPherson, six-time San Diego Jazz Artist of the Year, Gilbert Castellanos and the sultry voice of Sacha Boutros.
Live auction proceeds will go to support the educational activities of The Nash, including its five student ensembles, summer workshops and new summer camp. Additionally it will help fund the more than thirty in-school assemblies and workshops presented to schools across the valley. Currently The Nash is also sole provider of weekly jazz music education at ASU Prep-Pilgrim Rest Campus and is a partner with Act One, providing arts education at no cost to students in Title I schools.
Pricing
Whole ($3,500.00) and half tables ($1750.00) are available, in addition to individual tickets ($350.00).
Young Professionals (under 40) and nonprofit organization whole tables ($1500.00), half tables ($750.00), and individual tickets ($150.00) are available for a reduced rate on a first-come, first served basis.
