Direct from New York City, this group of world-renowned samba jazz musicians features native Brazilian musicians Dudka Da Fonseca (of Trio da Paz), Helio Alves and Vocalist Adnet. Both Duduka and Maucha worked closely and extensively with the iconic Antonio Carlos Jobim and are recognized internationally for expanding the worlds of jazz and Latin music. All of these musicians have extensive performance and recording histories with top exponents of Latin music, including artists such Jobim, Milton Nascimento, Claudio Roditi, Paquito D’Rivera, Gato Barbieri, Airto Moreira & Flora Purim and Oscar Castro-Neves. DUDUKA DA FONSECA Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1951, Duduka Da Fonseca is a renowned Three-time Grammy® Award-nominated drummer, percussionist, and author. He has appeared on over 200 albums alongside American Jazz icons including Gerry Mulligan, Phil Woods, Kenny Barron, Lee Konitz, Eddie Gomez, Joanne Brackeen, Herbie Mann, Sadao Watanabe, Joe Henderson, John Scofield, Wayne Shorter, Joe Lovano and Paquito D’Rivera as well as Brazilian Jazz Icons Antonio Carlos Jobim, Sergio Barrozo, Astrud Gilberto, Raul de Souza, Claudio Roditi, Milton Nascimento, Dori Caymmi, Oscar Castro-Neves and dozens more. In 1986 he formed The Brazilian Jazz All Stars featuring artists Bob Mintzer, Randy Brecker , Eliane Elias, Romero Lubambo, Nilson Matta and Guilherme Franco. Duduka was a founding member and co-leader of Trio da Paz, nominated for an Indie Award as Best Latin Jazz Group in 1993 and their recording Partido Out won the Jazz Journalists Association Awards for best Brazilian Jazz Album of 2002. In 2016, Trio da Paz won the Hot House NYC Award for the best group and was nominated for the American Grammy® in the Best Latin Jazz category with their most recent album “30”.

MAUCHA ADNET Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Maucha Adnet started singing professionally at age 15. From 1984 until 1994, she performed all over the world with legendary composer Antonio Carlos Jobim and took up residency in New York City in 1987. Maucha has recorded and performed with such artists as Randy Brecker, Claudio Roditi, Trio da Paz, Wynton Marsalis, Caetano Veloso, Bucky Pizzarelli, Slide Hampton, Harry Allen, Dori Caymmi and Larry Goldings. Maucha also teaches workshops in Brazilian music, sharing her expertise in phrasing and interpreting different genres of Brazilian music.
