My name is Ayo Brame, a 16-year old up and coming jazz musician out of Oakland, California. I am currently completing my sophomore year at Oakland School of the Arts (OSA) where I have studied under several accomplished musicians since entering middle school. In addition to OSA’s instruction under the instrumental emphases, I have consistently sought additional tutelage and mentorship from Mr. Richard Howell by way of Oaktown Jazz. I consider myself a purist when it comes to jazz as I channel late greats such as John Coltrane, and Wayne Shorter.
