Phoenix native Chloe Rowlands comes back home from New York City to perform a selection of standards and original arrangements and compositions.

“Chloe Rowlands grew up in Phoenix and began playing trumpet at the age of 9.  At age 12 she joined the Young Sounds of Arizona under the direction of Barb Catlin and was later awarded the Theresa-Perez Director’s Award.  In 2010 Chloe moved to New York City to study jazz at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music.   Since moving to NYC, she has performed around the world at venues ranging from Marian’s Jazzroom in Bern, Switzerland, to the Jarasum Jazz Festival’s main stage in Jarasum, South Korea.   Chloe is a full time member of the critically acclaimed new music brass quartet “The Westerlies,” which she joined in May of 2018.  With The Westerlies, Chloe has recorded and performed with Fleet Foxes, Theo Bleckmann, Tōth, Kate Davis, and Celisse Henderson.”
