Celebrating Puerto Rico Discovery Day

Discovery Day (Spanish: Día del Descubrimiento de Puerto Rico) is a public holiday in Puerto Rico observed on November 19th. This holiday marks the arrival of Christopher Columbus to the island in 1493. Every year, Discovery of Puerto Rico Day is celebrated with fairs, cultural activities, and a grand parade and – at The Nash – The Frank Valdes Septet will be celebrating with a high-energy evening of salsa, bomba, guaracha and all things Puerto Rican!
