Presented by ASU & The Nash

“I first heard Gigi Sierra sing in an ASU production in Spring 2021 and knew at that moment that I was hearing a rare talent. With support from both ASU and The Nash, we will proudly present this rising star with celebrated trumpet master and Ravenscroft Resident Artist Jason Palmer. Get your tickets now so that years from now you’ll be able to say that you were at The Nash when this important event went down.”

– Michael Kocour, ASU Director of Jazz Studies

Gigi Sierra recently graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Musical Theatre. Her love for the Great American Songbook and jazz started when she attended Michael Feinstein’s Songbook Academy in Carmel, Indiana. She was a part of the program in both 2015 and 2016 and was a top ten finalist in 2016. After Gigi performed with Michael Feinstein at the opening of the Pacific Symphony’s 2015 Pops Series, her passion for jazz became even stronger and she knew that she wanted to sing this music forever. Check out her debut album, “You’re Gonna Hear From Me” on Spotify and other streaming services.

Trumpeter, composer and educator Jason Palmer is one of the most in demand musicians of his generation. He has performed with Roy Haynes, Herbie Hancock, Jimmy Smith (the organist), Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Ravi Coltrane, Mark Turner, Jeff Ballard, Lee Konitz, Phil Woods, Common, Roy Hargrove, Lewis Nash.
