Jason “JT” Torres is a versatile bassist and tubist who thrives on the power of groove and connection in live performance. A graduate of the Peabody Institute, he is currently pursuing his Master’s in Bass Performance at Arizona State University, where he also serves as a teaching assistant. JT has performed with artists such as Lewis Nash, Jazzmeia Horn, Lauryn Hill, Brad Leali, Randy Napoleon, Backyard Band and many more. Performing on stages/festivals like The Nash, Keystone Korner: Baltimore, The Roots Picnic, AFRAM, and Pharrell’s Something in the Water festival. Whether on stage or in the classroom, JT brings a sense of joy, purpose, and connection everywhere he is a part of.
