Larry Redhouse-piano, Ed Friedland-acoustic & electric bass, Gil Rodriguez-drums
Larry Redhouse is a member of the Navajo Nation, a jazz pianist, composer and bandleader. He has performed locally, nationally and internationally: the Grenoble Jazz Festival-Grenoble France, The Kennedy Center Jazz Club, The Smithsonian Museum for the American Indian- Washington DC, and The Steinway Peace Piano Concert. Mr. Redhouse has opened for such greats as Chick Corea, Terrance Blanchard, Donald Harrison and Rick Braun. Larry is also a Northern Traditional Dancer, plays the Cedar Flute and is active in Native American Cultural Events.
Redhouse has released 4 self produced cds: Naomi’s Dance, Live at the Westward Look, Spirit Progression and The Great Mystery.
Friday November 24th will showcase Larry’s original jazz compositions and contemporary arrangements of hip jazz classics in an acoustic trio setting.
