Lauren Kinhan

Lauren Kinhan, solo artist and member of the New York Voices, makes her much anticipated return to The Nash with her colorful book of standards and originals.  Always forward thinking in her musical vision, she constantly pushes herself to mine the interiors of songs and create new landscapes for music to come to life on stage.  Described by the New York City Jazz Record as a singer who, “brings the passion of a soul singer to the improvisatory reach of a jazz diva,” combined with her longtime collaborator and recent Latin Grammy nominee pianist/band leader Martin Bejerano, this promises a night of rarified depth and beauty.  They will traverse repertoire from Lauren’s many albums, namely 2017’s critically acclaimed Nancy Wilson tribute, her 2014 record of originals, Circle in a Square, and new music on deck for her next foray into the studio.
