Vibist Brett Reed explores the traditional jazz trio setting, but with vibes instead of the more common piano. Reed showcases his 4-mallet approach to the vibes playing unaccompanied solos. The Brett Reed Trio digs into the rich catalog of tunes by jazz greats Pat Metheny and Steve Swallow and explores their music through the prism of Scandinavian jazz and contemporary classical influences.
These “OMT” shows will be streamed on Facebook in their entirety (minus the intermission) so that you can enjoy them along with others (virtually, of course) as if you were in the audience. You can comment interactively with other viewers and the musicians who are viewing the show.
