About This Event
Recorded June 19, 2018
Ellis Green-piano, Alex Price-trumpet, Max Beckman-bass, Filip Voia-Tipei
Ellis Green studied jazz at Arizona State University with Mike Kocour and Lewis Nash. This impressive performance is the culmination of year-long project interpreting the music of Tadd Dameron, one of the most influential arrangers of bop and swing eras who composed standards including “Hot House“, “If You Could See Me Now”, “Our Delight“, “Good Bait” and “Lady Bird“, all of which are freshly interpreted in this show.
These “OMT” shows will be streamed on Facebook in their entirety (minus the intermission) so that you can enjoy them along with others (virtually, of course) as if you were in the audience. You can comment interactively with other viewers and the musicians who are viewing the show. NOTE: If you are unable to watch shows at the scheduled times, they will be available on our Facebook page for viewing on demand afterwards.
