Russell Schmidt Sextet: CD Release Party

Pianist/Composer Russell Schmidt brings his sextet back to The Nash for a special event, celebrating the release of his newest recording: Jazz Triptych, Volume II – The Secular. Just as with last fall’s release, Jazz Triptych, Volume I – The Sacred, 100% of sales from this new album (available in CD & digital download formats) go to fund the Valley Jazz Cooperative Scholarship Program, supporting the continuing education of exceptional young people.

The Russell Schmidt Sextet will perform a mixed program of original compositions and celebrated jazz classics, including a number of selections found on the newest recording. The all-star line-up is comprised of deeply creative artists, some traveling to Phoenix from across the US to perform.
