With her supple sense of swing, blues-inflected phrasing, and matchless gift for empathic interpretation, it’s easy to see why The New York Times declared her “perhaps the best jazz singer alive today.”

Since her return to music following a nearly three-decade hiatus Stallings has been enchanting audiences worldwide, recording eleven sessions for Concord, MAXJAZZ and High Note. In May of this year, Stallings released yet another album, Songs Were Made to Sing, which has spent many weeks at the top of the Jazz Week charts.
