WVJC Cerulean Big Band
The West Valley Jazz Cooperative Cerulean Big Band, a 16-piece ensemble comprised of outstanding west side music students in grades 8 through 12, performs an early matinee concert featuring works by notable big band writers including Neal Hefti and Oliver Nelson. The band is directed by Russell Schmidt.
Additionally, a number of duo performances will be interspersed throughout the event, featuring select soloists from throughout the entire VJC program accompanied by the director on piano. Please join us for an afternoon of great music from the Valley Jazz Cooperative!
