Stan Sorenson-guitar, Beth Lederman-keys, Mario Mendivil-bass, Buddy Banks-drums During his performances, Stan blends a variety of musical styles and songs with traditional jazz sounds. Cool, Be-bop, Latin, Rock, Reggae and today's Contemporary Jazz are combined to create his unique flavor. Stan's wide-ranging repertoire includes original compositions, jazz standards, and Django Reinhardt compositions, as well as drawing on modern classics by Sting/The Police, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Steely Dan, Stone Temple Pilots and Green Day to name a few.

Nuance is: Devon Leal Bridgewater-trumpet/violin/cornet/flugelhorn, Dan Sieckman-guitar, Selwyn Reams-bass, Emerson Laffey-drums/congas and latin percussion, with Jackie Lopez-vocals   For this special return-engagement at The Nash, Nuance Jazz with Jackie Lopez will perform Latin favorites and exciting selections made famous by Selena, Celia Cruz, Dizzy Gillespie and La Plata Sextette.  Nuance has toured internationally and was named “Best Jazz Performers” by The Arizona Republic.  Jackie Lopez joined Nuance in 2019 and together they delight audiences by showcasing many improvisational styles and genres.

Sandra and her band celebrate Juneenth with a celebration of music that includes Gospel, Jazz, R&B, Blues and Motown.  This is truly a journey of the African American experience from Slavery to Present Day.  Told through songs, you will be uplifted and will walk away with a song in your heart!  Come out and celebrate with us! Join us for a lively evening of Latin Jazz and Salsa, blended with Mambo, Descarga, Cha Cha, Cumbia, Bolero and Samba.  Raúl Yáñez brings a rich musical background and experience to the stage.  He currently teaches at ASU in their School of Music, Dance & Theatre.  He has worked and recorded with other notable artists and groups such as Joey DeFrancesco and Jimmy Smith.  He was the composer of the first Concerto for Turntable and has toured with Sister Sledge, El Chicano and Esteban.

Red-hot jazz/gospel/rock drummer, Fred Boswell, Jr., takes over The Nash for a night of classic mainstream jazz, fusion, funk and soul with a lot of suprises built in. Brice Winston-sax, Joshua Moore-guitar, Chris Finet-bass, Arthur Vint-drums Josh Moore is the guitar department head at NAU, making his debut performance at The Nash. The Josiel Perez´s Afro-Cuban All-Stars bring the fiery sounds of Cuba together with the soulful sounds of American Jazz to create a concoction that will leave you wanting more. The group pays homage to the Cuban legends Perez Prado, Benny More, and Septeto Nacional.  Ariel Cacheiro & Arroz con Mango- The 5-piece group brings the 1930s sound of Old Havana with the award-winning writer Julie Morrison and her versatile still northern Arizona poetry style. With exciting performances of Mambo, Cha cha cha, and other grooves, The Cal Tjader Tribute Band pays homage to one of the most important Latin-jazz artists of the last century. Including the best musicians in the valley, Brett Reed on Vibes, Scott Zimmer on sax and flute, Joe Garcia playing congas, Dom Moio drums, and Ted Sistrunk on bass, it’s an exuberant and rousing show!

These heavyweight players have decided to take a break from their own projects and get together to play some "jazzgrass". This evening will include the music of Duke Ellington, some old swing standards, a touch of Western swing, some gypsy jazz and several of Billy's originals - all performed in the spirit of David Grisman's dawg music. This will be a fun night of upbeat acoustic jazz.
