A two-man exhibition featuring the photography of Ritch Fuhrer and the painting of Abe Zucca, The Nash’s best-selling visual artist. Work on display will include portraits of the greats and photography featuring Nash players.
Ritch Fuhrer has been a photographer for longer than he can remember. With a background of photojournalism in high school and college, Ritch began a lifetime of photography, with an emphasis on people as his subjects. As a professional photographer, Ritch has a particular love of portrait work, action-sports photos, and performing musicians. He is an avid jazz and acoustic music fan, shooting concerts and individual musicians in their preferred domain–the stage. Ritch’s photography has been used on CD’s by musicians such as Ottmar Liebert and Anastasia Kitaev. He offers inexpensive in-concert and posed photo sessions to musicians in the Phoenix area. ritchfuhrerphotography.com
For the talented Abe Zucca, painting provides the confidence no other profession can. Every finished piece means a renewed sense-of-self. It’s not an addiction, it’s a compulsion,” according to Entrepreneurs N Fuego. Zucca has been working in the Phoenix Downtown art scene for several years with solo exhibitions at various Downtown venues including his own gallery at 1301 Grand Avenue. abe-z.com
Abe says about his inspiration for making art: “I am just a process of sensibilities and through my art you read yourself.”
Exhibition Dates: September 27 – December 22 (open to audiences during performances)
