The PREVAIL All-Star Sextet

For more than twenty years over Labor Day Weekend, these master jazz musicians came together in Vail, Colorado to conduct the prestigious Vail Jazz Workshop. Although Vail Jazz is no longer presenting the workshop, we will get this rare opportunity to hear the “PREVAIL” All-Star Sextet. Lucky us!

Lewis Nash named the group PREVAIL, not only because they’ve worked together extensively in a variety of configurations “pre-Vail”; but more importantly because its members personify the definition of “prevail”. Lewis says, “every performance with these musicians is a ‘triumph’, each has been a strong ‘influence’ on my life; and these musicians keep jazz ‘current and relevant’.”

Most importantly, PREVAIL sounds amazing with each musician bringing a wealth of jazz history, energy and personality to the bandstand.
