Nash Interns

Kyle Angilletta is a lifelong drumset player and experienced marching percussionist hailing from Phoenix, AZ! He is currently pursuing his BM in Jazz Performance from ASU, playing with many of their jazz ensembles (Concert Jazz, Latin Jazz, Combos). He has always had an emphasis on growing the communities he is a part of and looks forward to expanding his musical, as well as outreach, horizons as a Nash Intern this year!

Eli Escaner is a jazz trombonist, vocalist, and music producer. He is currently in his undergrad at Arizona State University studying Jazz Performance for Trombone. As a recent high school graduate, Eli has been part of Arizona All State Band '23-'24 and Arizona All State Jazz Band 1 '24. Through this he has been recognized and has received the John Philip Sousa Award. As a jazz musician and aspiring artist, Eli intends to combine his jazz background with his music production background to create tunes that please both the musicians and the general populace. Eli strives to complete his work with a fully balanced lifestyle to keep communities thriving and connected, as music is the soul purpose of keeping everyone connected.

Jakob Leyba is a Phoenix based musician, educator and composer. He earned his Bachelors of Music Performance from Arizona State University and is continuing his studies at ASU under Corcoran Holt. He is expecting to graduate with a Masters of Music Performance in Spring 2026. Jakob plays in a wide variety of music groups in Phoenix on upright and electric bass. His experience spans a variety of genres such as jazz, classical, pop/rock, funk, RnB, salsa, Brazilian jazz and musical theater. In the Phoenix valley, he has performed with Charles Lewis, West Valley Symphony and Phoenix Theater. He has played in California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, New Mexico, Tennessee, Louisiana and Utah with groups such as Arizona Blacktop and numerous other valley artists. He writes music with several of the groups he performs with. Outside of performing, he also teaches privately and at Phoenix Conservatory of Music

Deanna Rusnock is a pianist and composer who has completed her Master’s Degree in Composition and Theory; she now pursues a second Master’s Degree in Jazz Piano Performance at Arizona State University. Deanna won ASU’s Composition Competition for the 2021-2022 school year, and has had her compositions performed internationally. As a pianist, Deanna has been playing piano for 18 years in a variety of ensembles: classical chamber music, jazz ensembles, worship music, musical theatre, and folk ensembles.
