Bean Supper is a Boston-based instrumental trio. Their music combines their backgrounds in jazz with their shared love for intriguing cultural artifacts, with their compositions and improvisations being inspired by topics such as American folk tales, comedy, history, and important social issues of today. The trio strives to bring people together with their music, as they love creating community events around their music – inviting special guests to play, and engaging in a learning process with older musicians.

Jude Poorten is a Phoenix native, who grew up with a close connection to The Nash, first as a member of the Nash Legacy Ensemble and later as a frequent performer. After relocating to Boston, he formed the group Bean Supper with Nick and Andre: two close friends and accomplished musicians, who both bring a uniquely beautiful approach to the music both as composers and performers.
