South Mountain Latin Jazz Big Band has been under the direction of Eddie Gaona for 12 years. The band focuses on Latin Jazz and Salsa. The rhythms they perform came out of Cuba and Puerto Rico and is fused with Jazz. These rhythms are passionate, intense, exciting and want to make your body move in response. South Mountain Latin Big Band will have a special guest artist Carmela Ramirez singing. Carmela leads a nine-piece Latin Jazz-Salsa band that has graced many stages locally and internationally. She is an award winning performing artist who has used Arts, Culture and Community as her base for creative entertainment.
