First Friday: Ben Hedquist presents Sleigher

Ben Hedquist returns to The Nash with his new sextet Sleigher. Joined by Eric Rasmussen, Keith Kelly, Kate Vincent, Ray Lebert, and Connor Sample,  this sextet performance will feature all original arrangements of holiday classics. Be warned, this is not your mother’s holiday music!

Since moving to Phoenix in 2012, Hedquist has become one of the Valley’s most in-demand bassists. He frequently performs with Phoenix-based musicians such as Michael Kocour, Jeff Libman, Eric Rasmussen, Keith Kelly, Adam Roberts, and Dom Moio. He has also performed with a growing number of jazz notables, including Joe Locke, Peter Bernstein, George Garzone, Miguel Zenon, Glenn Zaleski, John Hollenbeck, Chris Cheek, George Colligan, Ben Wendel, and Lewis Nash.
