About This Event

ONE SHOW: 7:00 PM

Adam Clark-drums, Andrew Gross-saxophone, Raúl Yañez-piano, Max Beckman-bass,

Adam Clark started playing the drums at age 11 while living in Frankfurt, Germany. He has been a bandleader consistently for 25 years and a professional drummer since 1995. Adam has worked with popular artists Lenny Castro, Jimmy Vivino, actor/voice artist Patrick Warburton, Rachel Flowers, Jacob Koller, Gospel legend Andrew Gouche and Jazz legends such as David “Fathead” Newman, Stanley Jordan, Dennis Rowland, Papa John DeFrancesco and accordion master Frank Marocco. Adam Clark endorses DREAM Cymbals and Gongs and has been heard opening up for musical legends Alice Cooper, Joey DeFrancesco, Vince Neil, Angelique Kidjo, and Blues Traveler.

Adam Clark grew up as an Army brat in a musical family. His father (a career Army band director) started Adam on drum lessons with members of the 3rd Armored Division Spearhead Band. His Mom (a pianist and singer with perfect pitch) taught him how to sing as a toddler and he took piano lessons as a young child. Adam went to school for jazz performance at Mesa Community College and on scholarship at Arizona State University. Adam Clark has been honored to sit in and perform live with George Benson, Joey DeFrancesco, Jeff “Skunk” Baxter and Wycliffe Gordon.

“One of the best drummers I have ever heard, Adam Clark, drives any band he plays with. A melodic soloist, he reminds me of Gene Krupa. Adam is another one who can play with anyone.” – Ken Winters – L.A. Jazz Scene Issue No. 302
