Air Quartet: Vince Kaufmann – saxophone, Ben Hedquist – bass, Connor Sample – drums

The “Air Quartet” brings a unique perspective to a range of jazz luminaries from Louis Armstrong to Keith Jarrett. The band is born from late night jam sessions in downtown Phoenix and embraces the experimental qualities of late night music.

Led by saxophonist Vince Kaufmann, a Phoenix native with deep ties to the Phoenix jazz scene. He is an alumni of Young Sounds of Arizona and Arizona State University. This performance marks Vince’s return to the Nash after an 8-year hiatus as he lived abroad.
