First Friday: Corner Pocket – The Music of Bill Evans

Corner Pocket originated in 2020 and has created a heavy hitting repertoire showcased across the valley ranging from traditional jazz to hard bop. Led by bassist Chris Ross, joining him is Adam Roberts (Saxophone), Dave Henning (Piano), and Ryan Anthony (Drum Set). Corner Pocket presents a time remembered of the Bill Evans trio, along with Evan’s later works with the many horn players he worked with. Join us for an intimate evening, enjoying the beauty and subtlety of Bill Evan’s unparalleled music. We will bring a host of his striking 60 compositions which set the precedent for trio interplay, and be sure to surprise you with some unrecognized masterpieces.
