Jazz Matinee: Al Raitano

Al and the band will perform some special songs and tell stories related to the many experiences that turned a four week gig into an incredible ten-plus year booking.  Al’s easy interaction with the audience, creating an experience that was basically improv filled with comedic moments and classic tunes, is largely what made his performances so popular and timeless.

Raitano’s repertoire includes a wide range of music reminiscent of the stylings of the great male singers Sinatra and Bennett, Bobby Darin and Ray Charles, plus musical influences from the great Stan Getz. An exciting, versatile, international entertainer, Al has performed at some of the finest venues from New York City to Los Angeles, as well as in Canada, Puerto Rico and Paris, where he drew crowds of 15,000 fans.

In addition to his legendary run at The Pointe Resorts in Phoenix, Raitano performed and headlined with the Scottsdale Symphony Orchestra and was inducted into the Arizona Entertainers Hall of Fame. Raitano has also performed on television and in films as an actor, appearing in Hack (1997), Whiplash (2002) and The Curse of El Charro (2005). He is also won NBC’s “America’s Most Talented Senior” competition.
