Millennium High School Jazz Band

About This Event

The Millennium High School Jazz Band, from Goodyear, AZ, is comprised of the hardest working musicians on campus. This audition only ensemble rehearses 2 evenings a week, forcing it’s members to sacrifice their free time to prepare and rehearse. The students can only find success through personal accountability, and setting a high standard of musicianship for themselves. The Millennium Jazz Band demands highly motivated and talented young performers to bring the difficult repertoire to life on stage.

It has always been the goal of the Millennium High School Jazz Band to expose its students to all forms of jazz, and this year is no different. From Swing, to fusion, to the Jazz waltz, the many facets of Jazz will be explored by a multi year student. Students who have completed all 4 years can safely say they’ve been exposed to numerous styles of Jazz Music.

Directed by Travis Larson, the Millennium Jazz Band has seen high levels of success in festivals and for audiences around the Valley. Our performance at The Nash is another unique experience that the Millennium Band Program seeks to provide for their members.
