Superstition Jazz Orchestra
March 6, 2019 @ 7:30 PM

On Wednesday, March 6, the Superstition Jazz Orchestra continues its series of concerts celebrating the music of the jazz masters in its premiere of “Hubtones”, an evening of the music of trumpeter and composer, Freddie Hubbard. From the late 1950’s until the early 2000’s, Hubbard was one of jazz’ most prominent and influential trumpeters on the jazz scene.
In the form of new big band arrangements written by composer and multi-instrumentalist, Mike Crotty, each piece – unique in its own right – captures the creative beauty of Hubbard’s original work and pays tribute to this unique voice in the evolution of one of America’s true art forms.
$15, $5 Students (25 & Under w/ ID)
