The Japan Jazz Flute Big Band

Come hear the exciting, original sound of a jazz ensemble featuring flutes ranging from piccolo to contrabass flute, plus piano, bass and drums, with great jazz arrangements by Yuko Hoshi and Kenji Konno. The Japan Jazz Flute Big Band (JJFBB) is back in the U.S. for the second time since its Washington DC/ New York tour in 2018, to perform at the 2023 National Flute Association Convention in Phoenix as a featured ensemble group. The JJFBB, the very first jazz flute big band in Japan, was founded by Yuko Hoshi in 2015, and inspired by Ali Ryerson, the renowned jazz flutist and the original creator of the Jazz Flute Big Band.
