Costa Rican composer/ producer and multi instrumentalist Luis Munoz, fresh from from his latest tour to Latin America, will be touring this Summer and Fall in the US, in celebration and support of his new LP “Glimmering Path”. Muñoz will be accompanied by Guyanese singer Lois Mahalia (Michael Mc Donald, Kenny Loggins, Joe Walsh, etc.), keyboard players George Friedenthal and Doug Martin, bassist Randy Tico and guitarist Dan Zimmerman.

“CC and the Adelitas” represents the intersectionality between identity, race, gender and culture. The Adelitas were the women solderaderas of the Mexican Revolution, which helped forge “Adelita” into an icon in Mexican culture, representing the strength and fortitude of women into the modern day. This project and the experience that it creates incorporates the history of the Adelitas and Mexican song writers and/or singers and sets the music in the jazz idiom.

As the big band era of the 1930s and early '40s gave way to the bebop era of the late 1940s and '50s, Max Roach became the most important bop drummer through his work with bebop founders Charlie "Bird" Parker and Dizzy Gillespie. Roach was at the forefront of a new drumming style in which the ride cymbal was the focal element of the drumkit, and Roach's ability to play extremely fast ride patterns set a new standard for drumming excellence.

Houston Person specializes in making music that is uplifting, with strong recognizable melodies and improvisations that make you feel happy and want to dance.  His relaxed, highly accessible style is reminiscent of the great Ben Webster. Houston is known for his long-time association with legendary vocalist Etta Jones, as well as collaborations with dozens of jazz luminaries and more than 75 albums as bandleader. He is a popular headliner at jazz festivals, parties, and dances, and he is known as the patriarch of The Jazz Cruise on which he has performed every year since its maiden voyage in 2000.

An engaging jazz pianist and positive spirit, George Cables is one of the most sought-after musicians of his era, known for his fluid rich harmonic designs, broad range of dynamics, and adept post-bop stylings. First emerging in New York in the 1960s, he established his reputation playing with a bevy of forward-thinking luminaries including Woody Shaw, Bobby Hutcherson, and Joe Henderson. Following his move to the Bay Area in the '70s, he continued to find himself in-demand, working often with Freddie Hubbard, Dexter Gordon, and Art Pepper.

With a unique style and sound, which echoes the influences of his past, Brad Leali is one of the most notable saxophonists of current times. During his time as one of the top jazz musicians in New York City, Leali was a staple in legendary jazz venues like the Village Vanguard, Blue Note, Jazz Standard, Iridium, and Birdland. He also has performed in Lincoln Center in the orchestras of jazz legends Nancy Wilson and Benny Golson. Mr Leali is currently the jazz saxophone professor at the University of North Texas.
