Legacy Circle
Legacy Circle acknowledges members who have made a legacy/estate gift commitment to The Nash. As a Legacy Circle Member, you may attend special events and will be recognized at various Nash events and materials. By stepping forward you encourage others to do the same—though you may choose to remain anonymous.
Enrich your legacy and pass on your passion for jazz for generations to come. Your support today helps The Nash continue to be the one of the world’s best venues for jazz. Legacy Circle gifts help ensure that we continue to lead and offer the highest level of artistry and education programming at The Nash and throughout the community. No gift is too large or small. Consider directing philanthropic support though your estate to make a lasting impact on The Nash programming. Help future generations discover the wonder of jazz by naming The Nash in your will or estate planning.
Charitable Bequests
Charitable bequests are a form of legacy giving written into an individual’s last will and testament. Bequests give patrons of The Nash an opportunity to leave a lasting gift to the arts and arts education in the Greater Phoenix area. There are three types of bequests for you to consider: residual, specific, and/or contingent. Residual bequests, the most common, are often made after making specific bequests to relatives, friends, and charities. Whatever remains after specific bequests (the residuary) can be given in percentage to charity and others.
When you place a specific or residual/percentage bequest in your will or living trust and notify The Nash, we will invite you to become a member of the Legacy Circle. If you are considering a restriction, we encourage you to dialogue now with our Development Department to ensure that your wishes are met.

Mary Bishop Perret Education Fund
In honor of her long-standing love and support of young jazz artists, The Nash established the Mary Bishop Perret Jazz Education Fund. Mary Bishop Perret was a Valley resident who fostered young jazz musicians in Arizona. Donations made to the fund directly support signature youth programs at The Nash—including The Nash Jazz DivAZ, The Nash Legacy Ensemble, and The Nash Futures—providing scholarships for young musicians who want to learn the art of jazz.
