World-renowned 1st trumpeter and co-director of the legendary Stan Kenton Orchestra, Mike Vax, is joined by acclaimed Phoenix trumpeter Denny Monce and a stalwart rhythm section, to play the music of trumpet greats Nat Adderley, Louis Armstrong, Bunny Berrigan, Randy Brooks, Clifford Brown, Miles Davis, Kenny Dorham, Harry ‘Sweets’ Edison, Maynard Ferguson, Dizzy Gillespie, Freddy Hubbard, Harry James and Clark Terry. Through the music of these trumpet greats, Vax will take us on a journey from the cradle of jazz in New Orleans to the birth of bop in New York City.
